About YPK
n
YPK is a community kindergarten affiliated with C&K; and is administered as an incorporated association by a committee of volunteer parents. We are a Child Safe Organisation and take seriously our role to safeguard children.
n
Our warm and welcoming kindy has a rich philosophy that incorporates connection with our beautiful natural environment and First Nations' perspectives, particularly the Yuggera people on whose land we play on.

We are a two-unit Kindy with four groups of children attending across the week (a 2-day or 3-day a week group). We also run an After Kindy Care program till 530pm each day and have a Wednesday group in one room.

About the Role:
n
n
Permanent part-time position (Monday and Tuesday kindy group) with paid non-contact time available each day.
n
Queensland State School term-time position, with paid recess and annual leave.
n
Salary commensurate with experience as per YPK's Enterprise Agreement ****.
n
n
What we're looking for in the ideal applicant:
n
n
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and colleagues
n
A commitment to inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive practice
n
A love for nature play, inquiry-based learning, and creative exploration
n
Familiarity with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG), Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards("NQF" and "NQS")



and Child Safe Organisation Principles.
n
Ability to plan and implement a quality, educational and child-centred program which meets the needs of individual children and the group using the curriculum frameworks mentioned above.
n
Strong organisation and team skills and the ability to contribute to a safe and respectful working environment.
n
Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers or ability to do so.
n
Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
