Job Description
We're working with an established and highly regarded architectural practice in Brisbane seeking an experienced Associate Architect to join their senior team.

This is a role for someone who knows how to take ownership.
n
You'll be overseeing projects from start to finish, managing teams, resources and budgets, resolving issues as they arise and working closely with the senior leadership team to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
n
We're looking for someone who is highly technical, commercially aware and confident across all phases of architecture, but who also genuinely enjoys leading and mentoring others.
n
As an Associate Architect, you'll be responsible for managing your own projects while overseeing the people delivering them.
n
You'll be involved from the early stages through design, documentation and construction, ensuring each project is properly resourced, coordinated and delivered to the required standard.
n
You'll be expected to understand the bigger picture while still being capable of getting into the detail when needed.
n
This will include:
n
Leading projects from inception through to completion
n
Managing project teams and allocating resources effectively
n
Monitoring project budgets, programmes and deliverables
n
Overseeing documentation and technical quality
n
Coordinating consultants and external stakeholders
n
Resolving project issues as they arise
n
Working closely with senior leadership on project strategy and decision-making
n
Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level staff
n




Managing client relationships and project expectations
n
Ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high architectural standard
n
In the role as an Associate Architect, we require the following minimum qualifications:
n
10+ years of architectural experience
n
Strong Australian project experience
n
Current experience working within a Brisbane architectural practice
n
Proven experience leading architectural projects from start to finish
n
Experience managing teams, budgets, resources and programmes
n
Strong technical and construction knowledge
n
Confidence resolving complex project and delivery issues
n
Experience mentoring and developing architectural staff
n
Strong consultant, stakeholder and client coordination skills
n
A solid understanding of Revit
n
Excellent communication and leadership capability
n
Full Australian working rights
n
Your role will be more focused on project leadership and oversight than day-to-day documentation, however you will still need to understand Revit and be technically solid enough to review, guide and challenge the work being produced by your team.
