About the Role
Calce Company is seeking a reliable, motivated and hands-on
Trade Sales & Warehouse Assistant
to join our Queensland team.
This is a diverse position that combines
trade sales, customer service and warehouse operations
. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with professional trade customers while also being comfortable in a physically active warehouse environment.
Our customers include professional applicators, tradespeople, builders, designers, architects and industry professionals who use our range of Venetian plasters, decorative finishes, lime and clay finishes, microcement systems and specialist application tools.
This is not solely a sales role. A significant portion of the position involves warehouse responsibilities, including picking and packing orders, receiving stock, preparing freight consignments and maintaining a safe, organised warehouse.
No prior experience with our specialist products is required. We provide comprehensive product and system training and are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Sales & Customer Service
Assist and serve professional trade customers
Provide product advice and help customers select suitable products and systems
Process customer orders, sales transactions and payments accurately
Respond to phone, email and face-to-face enquiries
Prepare quotations and assist with order enquiries
Build and maintain strong relationships with regular trade customers and applicators
Develop knowledge of our products, systems, pricing and technical information
Assist with colour,



finish and product selection enquiries
Maintain a professional, organised and well-presented trade counter and showroom
Collaborate with the wider Calce Company team to deliver exceptional customer service
Warehouse & Inventory
Pick, pack and prepare customer and freight orders accurately
Receive incoming stock and verify deliveries against documentation
Unpack, label and store incoming inventory
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries
Prepare orders for customer collection
Pack and dispatch local and interstate freight consignments
Maintain accurate stock locations and inventory records
Participate in stocktakes and inventory control activities
Replenish showroom and warehouse stock as required
Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
Safely lift and handle products weighing up to 25kg
Assist with general warehouse duties as required
About You
The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between customer-facing sales activities and hands-on warehouse responsibilities. One moment you may be assisting a trade customer with a product enquiry, and the next you may be preparing freight orders or receiving stock.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience in trade sales, customer service or a similar customer-facing role
Warehouse, stores or stock-handling experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence dealing with professional trade customers




Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
Practical, hands-on approach to work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
Physically capable of safely lifting and handling products up to 25kg
Current Australian driver's licence
Genuine willingness to learn specialised products and systems
Desirable (But Not Essential)
Forklift licence
Experience using inventory or stock management systems
Experience working with trade customers
Background in building products, coatings, paints, construction or hardware
Experience with tinting, colour matching or colour management
