Our client is a
well established and respected manufacturer
based in Seven Hills and is seeking an experienced
Trade Qualified Fitter Machinist
.
This is a
temp/casual role
offering ongoing work with the potential for the right candidate to secure a permanent position.
About the Role
Fitting, assembling and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment
Operating conventional machining equipment
Machining and manufacturing components to specification
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Using a range of hand and power tools
Mechanical repairs, maintenance and fault finding
Measuring, cutting and machining components
Assisting with machinery installation and modifications
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop
Working as part of an experienced manufacturing team
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
Trade Certificate in Fitting & Machining,



Fitter Machinist or equivalent
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical and machining skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience operating workshop machinery
Strong mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable work history and strong work ethic
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
