Taree Railway Institute Bowling Club is seeking a
Bar Steward Level 5
to join our hospitality team in Taree NSW ****. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the high standards our establishment is known for. As a Bar Steward Level 5, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our bar operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. This position is essential to the smooth running of our service operations and contributes directly to our reputation for excellence in hospitality.
Key responsibilities
Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation standards throughout the bar area, including glassware, bottles and equipment
Prepare and stock the bar with beverages, garnishes and supplies as required
Manage inventory of bar supplies and report stock levels to management
Operate bar equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, refrigeration units and beverage dispensers, also POS and gaming equipment
Comply with health and safety regulations and responsible service of alcohol guidelines
Support the bar team in delivering prompt and professional customer service
Maintain personal hygiene and appearance standards in line with hospitality requirements
Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues as needed
Responsibility for lock ups
Accurate cash handling of safe and tills
Willingness to engage with lower level staff to assist them in achieving higher skills
What we're looking for
Previous experience working in a hospitality environment
Knowledge of bar, cellar,



Keno and gaming operations including cleaning procedures and stock management
Understanding of health, safety and food handling standards relevant to hospitality venues
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during peak service times
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry items regularly
Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work casual shifts including evenings and weekends
Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG)
