Financial Accountant

An excellent opportuniuty to join a prestigious Financial Services Group, in the position of Financial Accountant. This position is ideally suited to someone looking to make their first move from a consulting / Big 4 audit firm or from a Financial Services Group. A person, who thrives in a detail-orientated role with exposure to senior leadership and can deliver optimal policies and governance across finance.

Responsibilities:
n
n
Completion of month-end accounting activities, including preparation of manual journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
n
Accounts payable activities.
n
Preparation of revenue calculations and customer fee invoices.
n
Cash flow forecasting and monitoring financial compliance.
n
Prepare quarterly board papers including financial statement analysis and dividend / capital management recommendations.
n
Delivery of annual financial statements and clearance of audit queries.
n




Building and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the global team.
n
Provide assistance to the manager & team with other ad hoc financial analysis and project work.
n
Updating and documenting procedures. This includes an opportunity to identify, suggest and implement ongoing process improvements within the team.

Experience:
n
n
Tertiary qualification in accounting.
n
CA / CPA qualified or working towards a qualification.
n
2+ years' experience in a Financial Reporting role.
n
Excellent communicator with robust report writing capabilities.
n
Excellent attention to detail.
n
Ability to build strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders at differing levels of leadership.
n
