About the Position
n
The Director isresponsible for the delivery of strategic integrated
communicationsacross
media relations, online and web services,
internalcommunications,
stakeholder engagement, and specialised
campaigncommunications.
The role is also responsible for the delivery ofeducation and information resources to support new and existingusers of the Commission to understand and access our services andjurisdiction.

The Directorwill operate under broad direction and will draw on significantpublic sector knowledge and experience and will have asophisticated understanding of the Commission's strategic
operatingenvironment.
They will build and sustain relationships with anetwork of key people internally and coordinate and support ourstrategic engagement with external stakeholders, including
employerorganisations,
unions, and the media. They will provide expertadvice, make decisions based on skilled judgement and havedemonstrated experience in achieving results and business processimprovement outcomes. The role will also support the ExecutiveDirector in meeting key business objectives and work to support thebranches overall strategic direction.

Duties
n
n




Lead theCommission's work to provide accessible, consistent, andaccurate information resources to employees,
employers,regulated
workers and their representatives to ensure they canmeaningfully engage with Commission services.
n
Guide,develop and execute internal and external
communicationsstrategies
and be responsible for management of theCommission's website and social media channels.
n
Producemonthly editions of the internal staffing update, CommissionConnect, and provide expert communications support to thePresident, General Manager and Senior Executive.
n
Overseeengagement with external stakeholders, including small business(via the Commission's Small Business Reference Group) andcommunity stakeholders, and support Members with their externalengagement activities.
n
Overseethe Commission's media relations, including
fosteringrelationships
with key media outlets, preparation of mediareleases, managing responses to media queries, media monitoringand briefing the Executive about emerging themes.
n
Overseemanagement of the Commission's Online Learning Portal,including the development of new online learning resources andmaintenance of our existing resources.
n




Implement strategicplans including the Commission's CALD community engagementstrategy and education strategy.
n
Buildteam capabilities by providing leadership to team members,including setting the strategic direction of work prioritiesand managing performance.
n
