About the Role
n
Working alongside experienced Project Supervisors and Leading Hands, you will assist with the installation, servicing and commissioning of specialist fume extraction and ventilation systems.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Installing ducting, brackets, fans,



exhaust stacks and extraction equipment.
n
Installing fume cupboards and associated equipment.
n
Assisting with system testing and commissioning.
n
Reading and working from technical drawings and project specifications.
n
Assisting with materials, equipment and project scheduling.
n
Supporting project and service teams across various jobs.
n
Troubleshooting issues and finding practical solutions on site.
n
Working professionally with customers, builders and project managers.
n
Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
n
Travelling to regional and interstate sites as required, with occasional overseas travel possible.
n

About You
n

You will ideally have:

Strong practical and hand skills.
n
Positive physical fitness and stamina for manual work.
n
A positive, can-do attitude.
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
n
Good communication and customer service skills.
n
The ability to follow technical drawings, instructions and procedures.
n




Your own basic hand tools suitable for installation work. Specialist equipment and larger tools will be provided.
n
A current Australian driver's licence and access to your own vehicle.
n
A White Card, or the ability to obtain one.
n
The ability and willingness to travel regionally and interstate, with occasional overseas travel potentially required.
n
The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and required background checks.
n
n
Experience & Qualifications
n
Formal trade qualifications are not essential.
n
n
Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:n
n
HVAC, ventilation or mechanical services
n
Fume extraction systems
n
Ductwork installation
n
Metal trades or sheet metal work
n
PVC duct installation
n
PVC welding
n
Construction or site-based installation
n
Working with builders, contractors or project managers to deliver projects
n
EWP and/or scissor lift operation or certification
n
n
