Job Description
Firelec are currently seeking a Qualified Sprinkler Fitter to carry out service and maintenance of fire systems within the Rockhampton region.
n
In this role, you will work to provide preventative maintenance, resolve faults and mechanical issues, backed by a supportive and highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, reliable, customer and safety focused technician.
n
The successful applicant will have experience in the Fire Industry, and hold the appropriate license's and be responsible for, but not limited to:

n
In office technical preventative and remedial maintenance
n
Installation, service, and Maintenance of Fire suppression systems
n
Servicing and Repairing of Fire suppression Systems.
n
Maintaining strong organisational and communication skills with customers
n
Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
n
Maintaining awareness to adhere with individual site WH&S; policies.
n
Ability to liaise with internal staff effectively regarding any work changes and schedule updates.
n
General housekeeping and document control
n
n
Our ideal candidate will have:
n
n
Have a strong mechanical aptitude.
n
Be able to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical.
n




Hold a valid Australian manual driver's license.
n
Ability to form part of the on/call roster, where required.
n
Previous Fire suppression industry knowledge, or basic understanding -desirable.
n
n
The successful applicant will:
n
n
Qld Construction Blue/White card.
n
Hold a valid Australian manual driver's license.
n
Hold the relevant QBCC Licencing. Special Hazards advantageous.
n
Experience with wet & dry fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrant systems and fire pump sets.
n
Extensive Knowledge of the Australian Standards for maintenance and installations.
n
Will be able to utilise electronic devices to support our Fire Maintenance Systems.
n
Will be able to provide exceptional customer service.
n
Have a strong emphasis on safety and the ability to comply with all Standards & WHS legislative requirements.
