Part-Time | Moonee Ponds + Port Melbourne

We're looking for an experienced beauty/salon superstar to join the Feeling Smooth team.
n
This is a part-time Front of House position based primarily at our Moonee Ponds clinic, with flexibility required to work across both our Moonee Ponds and Port Melbourne locations when needed.
n
This isn't your average reception role. We're a busy, fast-paced beauty and skin clinic, and we're looking for someone who understands the industry, loves clients and is confident taking ownership of the front desk.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLES

To be considered for this role, you must:
n
n
Have previous beauty, skin clinic or salon experience
n
Be available Thursday evenings
n
Be available Saturdays
n
Be available all through our busy Christmas period
n
Be flexible to work across both Moonee Ponds and Port Melbourne
n
Be confident in a busy, client-facing environment
n
Have excellent communication and customer service skills
n
Be organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
n
Be comfortable learning our skincare ranges and product knowledge
n
Be confident recommending and selling products to clients
n
n
THIS ROLE IS MORE THAN RECEPTION
n
You'll be the face of Feeling Smooth and play an important part in the overall client experience.
n
Along with managing bookings, client communication, appointment opportunities and the day-to-day flow of the clinic, you'll be trained in our products and expected to confidently make recommendations to clients.
n




You'll also be trained to perform some of our basic treatments, including spray tanning, so you need to be comfortable being hands-on with clients when required.
n
You don't need to be a qualified beauty therapist, but you do need to genuinely enjoy the beauty industry and be excited to learn.
n

You're warm, polished and confident, but you also know how to get things done.

You notice what needs doing without always needing to be asked. You enjoy working towards clinic goals, love creating a great client experience and understand that front of house is about much more than answering the phone.

You're comfortable talking to clients about products, treatments and their next appointment — and you enjoy being part of a team that works together to keep the clinic running smoothly.

SIGNIFICANT BEFORE APPLYING

Previous beauty/salon/skin clinic experience

Available Thursday evenings AND Saturdays
n
Able to work across Moonee Ponds and Port Melbourne when required
n
Comfortable learning and recommending skincare products
n
Happy to be trained in basic treatments including spray tanning
