Novotel Brisbane Airport is currently seeking a Full-time Maintenance Handyperson to join our team!
n
About us:

The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. There are 532 guest rooms, 3 Restaurants, a Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, an Executive Lounge, and 18 meeting spaces. Located adjacent to the Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal.

About the role:
n
Assist the Maintenance team in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel.
n
Complete daily rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.
n
Carry out maintenance on mechanical equipment and water reticulation to ensure acceptable availability and reliability.
n
Ensure all equipment is used, stored and maintained correctly.
n
Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant & equipment.
n
Liaise with the
supervisor/manager/contractor
regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out-of-order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible.
n
Report on the completion, or delay, of any task that is guest-related.
n
The recording of all maintenance tasks performed, complete and incomplete, including any necessary reports about repairs and preventative schedules.
n
Ensure the external areas of the hotel are tidy and maintained.
n




Maintain gym equipment in secure working order according to the manufacturer's specifications.
n
Carry out preventative and repair painting where required throughout the Hotel.
n
Physical Tasks
n
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping
n
Move up and down a ladder.
n
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
n
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 Kilograms without assistance
n
Ability to work in relatively small spaces,when checking kitchen equipment, under benches or machines
n
About You:
n
Ability to multitask and work within tight timeframes
n
Previous maintenance experience is advantageous
n
High standard of DIY skills
n
Pride in personal appearance - this position requires liaising with guests, contractors, owners and management.
n
Ability to safely carry out the physical tasks listed above
n
Access to a reliable vehicle is advantageous
n
Working days are Tuesday to Saturday.
