The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of housekeeping operations, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned, serviced, and presented in accordance with Quest standards. This role focuses on execution, team supervision, and quality control on the floor.
Key responsibilities
1. Daily Operations & Room Quality
Supervise room attendants and housemen to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Ensure rooms are ready for arrival within required timelines
Monitor cleaning productivity and room turnaround times
Update the end of month daily including pet rooms costs, hotel for trees and other wages that need to be journalled out
Ensure weekly linen reject reports are sent to accounts
2. Team Supervision
Allocate daily room assignments and task lists
Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members
Monitor staff performance and provide immediate feedback
Work with the housekeeping Executive on training and development for all team members
Report performance issues to the Executive Housekeeper
3. Guest Service
Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping promptly
Escalate complex issues to the Executive Housekeeper when required




Maintain a professional and friendly presence with guests
4. Standards & Compliance
Ensure adherence to Quest Housekeeping Manual procedures
Conduct routine room inspections before release to Front Office
Ensure proper handling of linen, chemicals, and equipment
Assist Housekeeping Executive with fixing and training the team when QVR checks have been completed by management
5. Maintenance & Reporting
Report maintenance issues promptly via designated systems
Maintain housekeeping logs and daily reports
6. Health, Safety & Hygiene
Ensure team follows OH&S; procedures and safe work practices
Monitor use of chemicals and equipment safely
Report hazards and incidents immediately
About you
Certificate in Hospitality (housekeeping) or equivalent
A minimum 5 years' experience with cleaning / housekeeping in a hotel, hospitality environment
Experience in leading a housekeeping department or other supervisory role is essential
Team management / leadership
Staff training and development
Verbal communication skills including strong confidence in English
