Interspec Custom Joinery Pty Ltd – Cromer NSW

You will be working hands-on across a wide range of high-end residential joinery, including kitchens, wardrobes, entertainment units, vanities, bars, detailed custom pieces and architectural joinery. This role would suit someone who is highly capable across all aspects of cabinet making and custom joinery and takes pride in producing quality work. You will take on the more challenging jobs in the workshop while also helping guide and develop the less experienced members of the team.

Key responsibilities
n
Manufacturing high-end custom joinery from drawings through to completion
n
Taking ownership of detailed and more technically challenging work
n
Working with board products, veneers, laminates, solid timber and other specialty materials
n
Machining, assembling and finishing custom joinery to a high standard
n
Reading and interpreting detailed shop drawings
n
Problem-solving and working through complex manufacturing details
n
Assisting with prototypes, one-off pieces and non-standard joinery
n
Helping organise and maintain an efficient workflow in the workshop
n
Checking quality and ensuring work is ready for installation
n
Teaching and guiding apprentices and less experienced cabinet makers
n
About you
n
Qualified Cabinet Maker with strong industry experience
n




Extensive hands‐on experience in custom joinery
n
Confident taking on almost any task within the cabinet‐making trade
n
Strong attention to detail and genuine pride in workmanship
n
Able to work independently and take ownership of a job
n
Comfortable working on detailed and high‐end projects
n
Strong problem solver and able to think practically when issues arise
n
Patient and willing to teach less experienced tradesmen and apprentices
n
Leads by example rather than simply delegating work
n
Works well as part of a team and communicates clearly
