My client is an established and growing construction business is seeking an experienced
Safety Advisor
to join its Toowoomba-based teamwith a
planned commencement in January ****

With a strong pipeline of projects across Toowoomba and regional Queensland, this is an opportunity to take ownership of safety across a diverse construction portfolio while working alongside experienced delivery teams.
This role will suit a Safety Advisor who enjoys being out on site, building strong relationships and providing practical guidance rather than simply policing compliance.

About the Role:
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and wider project teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Implementing and maintaining WHS systems, policies and procedures across construction projects
Conducting regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments
Facilitating toolbox talks, inductions and on-site safety training




Identifying hazards and working collaboratively with site teams to implement practical controls
Monitoring contractor and subcontractor compliance
Supporting incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
Providing advice and guidance on WHS legislation, regulations and construction safety requirements
Maintaining accurate safety documentation and reporting
Supporting safety management across groundworks, structures, formwork and general construction activities
Driving continuous improvement across safety systems and site practices
Building strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, clients and other key stakeholders
About You:
You will be an experienced construction safety professional with a practical, collaborative approach and the confidence to engage effectively with people at all levels of a project.
You will ideally bring:
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or relevant tertiary qualification
Demonstrated experience in a Safety Advisor or similar WHS role within construction
Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
Experience implementing safety systems, conducting audits and delivering on-site training
Sound understanding of construction methodology including groundworks, structures and formwork
Robust communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
Competency across Microsoft Office and relevant safety systems
A proactive, professional and solutions-focused approach to safety
