Transport Operations & Depot Coordinator

This is a varied role combining transport operations, customer service, warehouse duties and day-to-day depot compliance. It would suit someone with transport, logistics or warehousing experience who enjoys taking ownership of their work and isn't looking for a purely desk-based position.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Coordinating and allocating our local fleet
n
Managing customer bookings, quotes and general enquiries
n
Entering, allocating and monitoring jobs through our Transport Management System
n
Communicating with drivers and resolving day-to-day operational issues
n
Assisting with interstate operations when required
n
Checking completed jobs and charges prior to invoicing
n
Preparing basic weekly truck performance reports
n
Loading and unloading
n
Receiving, checking, picking and putting away warehouse freight
n
Maintaining an organised warehouse and depot
n

About you
n
n
Has experience in transport, logistics, freight or warehousing
n
Is organised and able to manage multiple priorities
n
Is confident dealing with customers and drivers
n
Has valuable computer and administration skills
n
Is comfortable working both in the office and warehouse
n
Has a practical, problem-solving attitude
n
Takes ownership and follows tasks through
n
Has a strong focus on safety and compliance
n
Experience with a Transport Management System, fleet compliance, NHVAS or Chain of Responsibility would be highly regarded
n
