The Role
n
Reporting to the General Manager, you will serve as the technical lead for our field and depot based services team. This is a highly team-oriented, hands-on role where you will balance complex technical execution with the mentorship of a small team of skilled technicians.

Your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading from the front in the field, overseeing and executing the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of advanced radio and wireless communications systems.
n
Providing high-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex system integrations, ensuring all work meets rigorous industry and company standards.
n
Mentoring and guiding junior and intermediate technicians, assisting with their technical development and ensuring team safety and compliance.
n
Upholding a high level of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional technical outcomes and building trust on-site.
n
Assisting with technical scoping, site surveys, and providing accurate assessments to support the preparation of quotations and proposals.
n




Ensuring all day-to-day field activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with both National Wireless' and the customer's safety and statutory requirements.

Criteria
n
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
n
n
A proven history as a Senior Technician or Lead Technician in Radio (LMR/PMR), Microwave, Wireless Networks,
Telecommunications,
or Electrical Engineering.
n
Strong supervisory capabilities, with a natural ability to mentor peers and lead field deployments effectively.
n
Advanced technical qualifications in the radio or telecommunications industry and a track record of quickly mastering recent technologies and complex systems.
n
Excellent troubleshooting skills with a diagnostic mindset for resolving intricate hardware and network issues.
n
Strong interpersonal skills with a consultative approach to explaining technical solutions clearly to clients.
n
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical reports and collaborating with management.
n
The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain high-quality standards in rapid-paced environments.
n
