Job Description
Team Leader (Counsellor/Social Worker/Welfare Officer Lvl 4, Clinical Psychologist, Snr Clinical Psychologist) - Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) Program - Perm FT

Selection Criteria

Relevant tertiary qualifications are required, providing eligibility for membership with a recognised professional organisation and/or current registration with AHPRA, where applicable. In addition, candidates must meet one of the following discipline-specific requirements:
n
Counsellor Level 4: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Counselling or a related field.
n
Social Worker Level 4: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Work, providing eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
n
Welfare Officer Level 4: Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Community Welfare, or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
n
Senior Psychologist: Four-year qualification in Psychology (a three-year Psychology degree plus a fourth-year Honours year) and current registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
n
Please provide a specific example that demonstrates your advanced clinical skills in assessment,
counselling and case management when working with a person experiencing complex alcohol and other drug-related needs. How did you assess risk and clinical needs, develop and deliver an individualised therapeutic intervention, coordinate care with relevant services, and evaluate the outcome?
n
Do you have experience leading a multidisciplinary team in a high-risk or complex clinical environment? Please provide a specific example that demonstrates how you identified and managed risk, coordinated the multidisciplinary team, engaged key stakeholders, and ensured safe, person-centred outcomes for the client.
n
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
