About the Role
n
Ives Family Practice is seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse to join our general practice team on a permanent full-time basis.
n
We are looking for a clinically confident and proactive nurse with a minimum of five years' experience in general practice who can independently manage nursing appointments within their professional scope and work collaboratively with our GPs.
n
Commencement: Within 2–4 weeks.
n
Key Clinical Responsibilities
n
Infusions and Procedures
n
n
Aclasta (zoledronic acid) infusions
n
Intravenous iron infusions and IV saline administration
n
Vitamin B12 and vitamin D injections
n
Implanon insertion and removal, where appropriately trained and authorised
n
Wound management and dressings
n
Immunisations and vaccinations
n
n
Health Assessments and Preventive Care
n
n
*****-year-old health assessments
n
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health assessments
n
Health assessments for neurodivergent patients,



including appropriate individualised support and reasonable adjustments
n
75+ health assessments
n
Chronic disease management and care planning
n
Preventive healthcare and patient education
n
n
Diagnostic Procedures
n
n
ECGs
n
Holter monitor fitting, patient education and removal
n
Assisting GPs with minor procedures
n
n
All clinical procedures must be performed within the nurse's scope of practice, training, competency and applicable protocols.
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
Minimum five years' experience working in general practice
n
Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
n
Experience in chronic disease management and preventive healthcare
n
Ability to manage nursing appointments independently within scope
n
Excellent communication and patient-centred care skills
n
Ability to collaborate effectively with GPs and administrative staff
n
Proficiency in Best Practice clinical software
n
