The Business Centre is seeking a qualified and experienced Business Advisor & Trainer on a Full time 6 month contract with potential to extend to provide high-quality business advisory services, mentoring and training delivery across a range of small business, entrepreneurship and workforce development programs.
n
This unique role combines practical business expertise with professional training delivery to support business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, students and program participants to achieve measurable outcomes.
n
We are looking for an individual who is equally comfortable facilitating a workshop, mentoring a business owner, developing training resources and building strong stakeholder relationships.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Business Advisory
n
Provide practical and tailored advice to small business owners and entrepreneurs.
n
Support clients with business planning, marketing, finance and operations.
n
Conduct business assessments and identify appropriate support pathways.
n
Document recommendations and client progress.
n
Training & Facilitation
n
Design and deliver engaging workshops and training programs.
n
Facilitate face-to-face and online learning experiences.
n
Adapt training delivery to suit diverse audiences and learning styles.
n
Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching.
n
Support students and business clients to achieve their goals.
n
Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate records.
n
Program Delivery
n
Contribute to the successful delivery of funded programs.
n
Complete timely service records and delivery reports.
n
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
Essential Qualifications & Experience
n
n
Demonstrated experience in business advisory, business coaching, mentoring, consulting or small business management.
n
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****) or its successor, or a qualification that meets current vocational education and training trainer requirements.
n
Qualifications in Business, Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance or a related discipline.
n
Experience facilitating training, workshops, coaching sessions or adult learning programs.
n
Strong knowledge of business planning, marketing, financial management and business growth strategies.
n
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Well-developed organisational, administrative and digital skills.
n
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
n
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the service region as required.
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
Experience supporting entrepreneurs, startups, small businesses or regional business communities.
n
Experience owning and operating your own business
n
Experience delivering government-funded business support programs.
n
Experience within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) environment.
n
