Ward7 is seeking a Senior Medical Writer to join our enthusiastic and established team based in Surry Hills, Sydney. As Senior Medical Writer, you work across a variety of therapeutic areas in close collaboration with Creative, Strategy, and Account Service departments. You will report into the Head of Medical Writing.

REQUIRED SKILLS
n
n
At least 4 years' experience as a medical writer
n
Strong academic background in life sciences (PhD or Masters preferred)
n
Great written and verbal communication skills
n
Good understanding of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
n
A passion for thinking creatively
n
Ability to take responsibility for meeting deadlines
n
Proficient research skills and an enthusiasm for learning about new therapeutic areas
n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
n
n
Develop and write high-quality healthcare content across a range of formats, including detail aids, sales material, journal articles, and digital, social and website content
n
Translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, engaging, on-strategy copy for a variety of audiences
n
Partner closely with Strategy, Creative and Account Service teams to shape creative concepts and campaign strategy
n
Ensure all content complies with the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and internal/client approval processes
n
Guide, review and mentor other medical writers, supporting their development and the quality of their output
n
Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines across a range of therapeutic areas
n
Contribute medical writing expertise to recent business pitches and client presentations
n
Build strong client relationships, developing a deep understanding of their priorities and therapeutic areas
n

Salary: $110,000 to $120,000 (including Super)
n
