The exciting opportunity
Casual role with Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm shifts currently available
Oversee kitchen operations at our 95-bed Fairfield aged care home
Prepare, cook and present appetising and nutritious food
Lead, direct, inspire and mentor a capable team of Cooks and Kitchen Hands
Manage ordering, effectively control stock and identify efficiencies to meet budget
Encourage feedback to achieve continuous improvements

The recipe for success
Proven track record as a Cook or Chef in residential aged care, with a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
Currently available to work Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm
Excellent understanding of food safety and proven ability meeting governing legislation
Organised, able to work in a busy kitchen and meet deadlines, and strong customer service skills
NDIS Worker Screening Check and influenza vaccination (or willing to obtain) and unlimited working rights in Australia
