What you'll be doing
In this role, you will deliver safe, patient-centred and evidence-based nursing care within our Acute Medical Ward, with responsibilities that include:
Provide high-quality clinical care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate and optimise patient care and discharge planning
Maintain compliance with Mater policies, procedures and infection-prevention standards to support a safe environment
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and service delivery




Support and mentor students and less experienced staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth
Ensure accurate, timely and professional clinical documentation and communication with patients, families and colleagues
About you
You are a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care. You will bring:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated experience in an acute medical or similar acute care setting
Solid clinical assessment, decision-making and critical-thinking skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Commitment to Mater's Values, patient safety and quality care standards
Excellent communication, interpersonal and time-management skills
Willingness to support students and contribute to ongoing team development
A proactive approach to continuous improvement, professional growth and reflective practice
