About the role:
n
We are looking for a Facilities Engineering Specialist,to join our teamatourWestern SydneyData Centre. This is a permanent role on a salary, includingbenefits associated with shift work. This role is workingwithin
arosteredshiftpattern,
the team provides 24x7 coverage. Shift workonsitewill consist of:
n
4x12-hourshifts, a mix of days and nightsfollowed by 4 days off.
n
Additional leave day every 5 weeks.
n
20% Shift allowance on top of TRP.
n
Roles and Responsibilities:
n
n
Oversee datacentre security, includingphysical and access procedures, IT infrastructure, Data Centre Plant and Equipment maintenance / activities.
n
Identify faults and issues with data
centreenvironmentand
address where
possible.Escalatingto
relevant vendors or internal teams as required.
n
Assistingwithregular
and ad hocmaintenance, efficiency and reliability of a large and technically complex data centre facility.
n
Leading and coordinating Incident management and supporting procedurereviews.
n
Assist with preparing monthly reporting,related tothedata hall environmental conditions, power usage and SLA adherence.
n
Managingrisk management around the DC and assess all WHS associated with the centre.
n
Engage with risk management. Identify, assess and address WHS hazards and incidents around the facility.
n




Liaise withclientsand serviceproviders as required during the coordination of facility maintenance.
n
Undertake customer remote hands, cross connections& remote console sessions.
n
Interactionwith carriersand service delivery.
n
Subcontractor management and supervision including maintenance, repair and new installations as required on a 24x7 basis.
n
Ensure Fujitsu Data Centre National Access Procedurearealways followed.
n
n
Requirements and Experience:
n
Come and be part of a close-knit team in Western Sydney reporting to the Data Centre Manager & Facilities Engineering Manager. This role has a huge variety of tasks and no two days will be the same!
n
To hit the ground running we are ideally looking for someone with:
n
n
Electrical,Mechanical,BMS
qualificationspreferred,but
not essential.
n
2 years previous experience working within a data centre or similar environment.
n
Understanding of structured cabling systems and cross connections.
n
Able to work independently and troubleshoot customer issues.
n
Experience in operational efficiencies and operational process creation and reviews.
n
Excellent customer service, communication skills and a 'can do' attitude.
n
Willing to learn new skills in a dynamic environment andever-
changingenvironment.
n
Experience with MS 365 environments including excel, word, SharePoint.
n
Awareness of WHS principles.
n
