ALUCA is seeking an outstanding Chief Executive Officer to lead the association into its next phase of growth, relevance, and influence. This is an opportunity for an established life insurance industry leader to take the organisation forward — growing its membership, strengthening its commercial position, and ensuring ALUCA remains the organisation that industry professionals want to be part of.

THE ROLE
n
Working closely with the Board and ALUCA's dedicated network of industry volunteers, the CEO will have responsibility for the association's strategic, commercial, and operational leadership. Key priorities will include:

Membership growth— attracting new members and increasing engagement and value for existing members.
n
Partnerships and sponsorships— developing strong strategic relationships across the industry and creating sustainable new revenue opportunities.
n
Brand and influence— strengthening ALUCA's profile and ensuring it is a relevant and respected voice across the life insurance industry.
n
Education and professional development— ensuring ALUCA's education, events and content remain current, practical, and directly relevant to members and the changing industry.
n




Volunteer engagement— working effectively with the passionate industry professionals who generously contribute their time, expertise, and leadership to ALUCA.
n
Financial performance— delivering sustainable growth, strong financial management and commercial discipline.
n
Industry leadership— bringing insight, energy, and a genuine passion for the future of the life insurance industry.

ABOUT YOU
n
You will be a senior life insurance professional with solid industry credibility, relationships, and commercial judgement. Importantly, you will have a genuine understanding of the industry across claims, underwriting, product, and rehabilitation.

You will bring:

Proven leadership and the ability to bring people together around a clear purpose.
n
Strong industry relationships and stakeholder management skills.
n
A demonstrated ability to grow membership, revenue, partnerships, or sponsorships.
n
Commercial and financial acumen.
n
An understanding of what makes an industry association relevant and valuable to its members.
n
The ability to work effectively with a Board and alongside highly committed volunteers.
n
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
n
Energy, curiosity, and a genuine passion for the life insurance industry.
n
n
You do not need to have previously been an association CEO. We are more interested in your industry credibility, leadership capability, commercial mindset, and ability to create impact.
