Empower Care Pty Ltd is urgently seeking support workers for SIL housing in Toowoomba.
Tasks and Duties of a Support worker may include: Some weekend shifts for 3-4 weeks, minium 4hours each day.
Weekend shifts paid at higher rates according to award rates (please enquire) Week day shifts 4-8 hours per shift.
Attending social and recreational events with the participant.
Accompaning the participant to appointments.
Some meal preparation and encouraging healthy eating.
Assisting with medication.
Cleaning, shopping and assisting the participant with daily tasks.
Providing companionship and taking a genuine interest in the participant and his interests.
Encouraging the participant to engage in activities in the community.
Supporting the participant to develop recent hobbies and interests.




Encouraging the participant to make decisions for himself and feel confident doing so.
The support worker will be required to complete shift notes at the end of each support.
No personal care required.
Applicants should have the following qualifications prior to working with participants: Current First Aid and CPR Accreditation Current NDIS Worker Screening Check National Criminal History (Police) Check Covid -19 Vaccination Relevant industry qualification Valid QLD driving licence and fully insured vehicle Assist with Medication skillset Basic medication administration competency required NDIS Worker Orientation Module
