Due to internal movement we are seeking a Draftsperson/Internal Client Representative to join their team.
This position bridges the gap between client vision and factory production.
In this hybrid role, you will handle inbound client inquiries, qualify project leads, and translate design concepts into detailed, production-ready CAD drawings and cutting lists for custom joinery, cabinetry, and wardrobe systems.
This role requires a balance of aesthetic space-planning, technical joinery knowledge, and strong customer-facing sales skills.
The role: Joinery Sales Estimating Serve as the primary internal contact for builders, interior designers, architects, and retail clients regarding wardrobe and joinery inquiries.
Guide clients through product ranges, material selections (e.g., melamine, veneer, polyurethane, hardware), and configuration options.
Conduct take-offs from architectural plans to prepare accurate cost estimates, itemised quotes, and design proposals.
Follow up on submitted quotes to handle objections, negotiate details, and close the sale.
Maintain the CRM pipeline, ensuring all client notes, material selections, and site check-measure details are meticulously logged.
CAD Drafting Technical Detailing Transform client concepts, architectural floor plans, and rough sketches into detailed 2D layouts, elevations, and 3D renderings using joinery software.
Produce precise shop drawings showing internal wardrobe layouts, hanging rails, shelving, drawer modules, and hardware placements.
Ensure all designs comply with structural constraints, manufacturing capabilities,



and Australian standards/building codes.
Modify and revise drawings quickly based on client or site-measure feedback to expedite manufacturing approval.
Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical handovers for the CNC processing and production teams.
What we're looking for: Trade qualification in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, or a tertiary qualification in Interior Design / Space Planning.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in technical sales, estimating, or drafting specifically within the joinery, kitchen, or wardrobe manufacturing industry.
Strong hands-on experience with joinery-specific CAD design software (e.g., Cabinet Vision, Mozaik).
Solid understanding of cabinet-making construction methods, board materials, edge-banding, and architectural hardware.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently communicate technical concepts to both retail homeowners and trade builders.
