This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant who is ready to broaden their impact, strengthen their stakeholder capability and grow into a Finance Business Partner role.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of key management accounting activities across a large and complex operating environment.
You will deliver accurate and meaningful financial information, investigate the drivers behind performance and work closely with operational leaders to support better commercial decisions.
Importantly, you will receive direct mentorship and development to build your capability beyond the numbers.
As your knowledge and confidence grow, so too will your involvement in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, business cases and strategic partnering.
The Opportunity You will: Deliver month-end activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, allocations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management reports and provide meaningful analysis of P L and balance sheet performance.
Investigate variances, financial movements and discrepancies to identify the underlying drivers.
Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
Work with operational stakeholders to improve financial understanding and support informed decision-making.
Maintain financial models, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Provide financial analysis for business cases, tenders and funding requirements.
Contribute to improvements across financial reporting, systems, processes, data quality and controls.




Build the commercial and stakeholder capability required to progress into Finance Business Partnering.
About You You are an experienced Management Accountant or accounting professional who enjoys getting into the detail but is ready to expand your influence across the broader business.
You are naturally curious about what sits behind the numbers and want to develop your ability to turn financial information into practical commercial insight.
You will be supported by a leader who is committed to mentoring and developing you as you take the next step in your career.
To be successful, you will bring: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards qualification, highly regarded.
Demonstrated management accounting experience within a medium to large or complex organisation.
Strong hands-on capability across month-end, reconciliations, management reporting and variance analysis.
Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Solid analytical and problem-solving capability with excellent attention to detail.
Strong Excel and financial systems capability, ideally with exposure to TechnologyOne and Power BI.
The confidence to communicate financial information clearly and build effective relationships with finance and operational stakeholders.
A genuine desire to develop into a commercially focused Finance Business Partner.




Experience within a government-funded, healthcare, aged care or other complex service environment will be highly regarded.
