About the opportunity QIC is undertaking an important transformation of how compliance is managed across the organisation, implementing a new Enterprise Compliance Framework (ECF) supported by new Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) technology.
We're looking for an experienced Senior GRC Transformation Consultant for a 10-month fixed-term contract to play a key role in bringing this transformation to life.
This is not a traditional BAU compliance role.
You'll work across compliance, business transformation and technology, helping translate our new compliance framework into practical processes, systems and ways of working.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Compliance Governance Monitoring, you'll work closely with Compliance, Risk, Technology, our GRC project team and stakeholders across QIC to help design, implement and embed the new framework and compliance management system.
The program is already underway, giving you the prospect to contribute at a critical delivery stage across design, implementation, testing, business readiness and adoption.
What you'll be doing Your role will evolve as the program progresses.
You'll: facilitate workshops with stakeholders to understand requirements and design practical compliance processes; develop process maps, procedures, operating model documentation and other business artefacts; help translate compliance requirements into effective system and workflow solutions; support the implementation of QIC's new GRC compliance management capability, including design, configuration, testing and defect resolution; support data preparation, migration, quality and reconciliation as existing compliance information moves into the new system; coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Technology, business stakeholders and the system vendor throughout implementation; develop training materials, user guides and procedures and support users as new processes are introduced; contribute to communications,



change management and implementation-readiness activities; support the transition of new processes and capabilities into BAU; and identify opportunities to continually improve compliance processes, reporting, workflows and the overall user experience.
What you'll bring We're looking for someone who understands risk or compliance but is equally comfortable working in a project and transformation environment.
Ideally, you'll bring: experience in compliance, risk or governance, ideally within financial services or another complex regulated environment; demonstrated experience supporting a technology or systems implementation; experience contributing to compliance/risk frameworks, operating models or process improvement initiatives; strong process mapping, analysis and documentation capability; experience facilitating workshops and working with a broad range of stakeholders; exposure to solution design, testing, UAT and implementation/readiness activities; the ability to translate complex requirements into practical processes and system solutions; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.
Experience implementing a GRC platform , supporting data migration or working on broader change and transformation programs would be highly regarded.
Experience within banking, superannuation, insurance or investment management would also be valuable, though not essential.
