Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association (LEAHA) Newly created position Based at Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association Part-time - $121,701 per annum (pro rata) plus super Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association (LEAHA) in partnership with Gippsland Lakes Complete Health (GLCH) aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal community members in and around the townships of Lakes Entrance, Metung and Swan Reach.
We have an exciting prospect for a passionate person to join our multi-disciplinary team at LEAHA in the role of; Midwife Registered Nurse The Midwife/Registered Nurse will be based at LEAHA at the Primary Health Site and is responsible for supporting Aboriginal Women during their journey through motherhood and supporting their babies and families.
This position seeks to provide culturally safe, evidence-based maternity service delivery to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, infants and families across the antenatal, postnatal and 6-week check of babies.
Coordinating, assistance and support with transitioning to Maternal and child health services.
Working within professional qualifications, registration requirements, and scope of practice,



the role supports positive health and developmental outcomes through clinical assessment, health education, advocacy, care coordination, early intervention and collaboration with multidisciplinary and community-based services.
