Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance Drive regulatory excellence Melbourne-based | Hybrid Working An exciting chance has arisen for an experienced compliance professional to join a leading Financial Services firm.
This senior role will partner closely with business leaders across investments, distribution, operations, product, legal and risk functions to provide strategic compliance advice and support business growth in an evolving regulatory environment.
This position is ideally suited to a commercially minded compliance professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a deep understanding of investment management businesses.
About the Role As Senior Compliance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, supporting the organisation's compliance framework and regulatory obligations.
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will play a key role in ensuring the business remains compliant with Australian regulatory requirements while enabling strategic initiatives, product development and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities will include: Provide proactive compliance advice to business leaders and key stakeholders.
Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and assess the impact on the business.
Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks, policies, procedures and controls.




Lead compliance monitoring and testing activities to assess the effectiveness of controls.
Support product development initiatives, including review of disclosure documentation and marketing materials.
Partner with investment, distribution and operational teams to identify and manage regulatory risks.
Manage regulatory reporting obligations and support engagement with relevant regulators.
Support regulatory change, business transformation and strategic projects.
Coordinate compliance reviews, investigations and remediation activities where required.
Key Requirements will include: Significant experience in compliance, regulatory advisory or risk management within financial services.
Demonstrated experience within investment management is essential.
Strong understanding of Australian financial services regulation, including Corporations Act and AFSL obligations.
Experience partnering with investment professionals and investment-related business units.
Proven ability to provide practical, risk-based advice to senior stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, governance and regulatory change management.
Exposure to institutional asset management, funds management, ETFs or alternative investments.
Experience supporting multi-product or multi-channel investment businesses.
