About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

Funds in Court
Funds in Court (FIC) supports the Senior Master, who holds funds, investments, and assets, principally for people with a disability.
In *********, FIC managed funds and assets valued at $2.42 billion on behalf of 7,170 clients.
FIC is dedicated to ensuring the safe and effective investment of clients' funds at low cost, and to using funds in a manner that responds to clients' diverse needs and aspirations.
FIC is a self-funded, not-for-profit division of the Court that also manages funds paid into Court pending the outcome of a proceeding, as dispute monies and security for costs, and pursuant to the Trustee Act **** (Vic).
About the role
The Client Liaison Officer [CLO] is a member of Client Services and is responsible for providing specialist advice and information regarding client needs, offers support to clients, families and carers as required, and assists them to navigate and access appropriate services, supports and community resources.
The position reports to the Director Client Services via the Team Leader – Victim Support, Client Liaison and Contact Services and is responsible for a portfolio of client files.
Key accountabilities include:
* Undertaking client visits throughout Australia in a range of settings, to assess clients' living circumstances, wellbeing and support requirements.
Engaging with clients, families, carers and service providers to investigate accommodation, independent living and support-related matters, and provide recommendations that promote safety, independence and quality of life.
* Providing authoritative reports with recommendations to assist judicial decision making in relation to the effective use of client funds to meet their ongoing needs.
* Managing a portfolio of clients who are victims of crime, involving the submission of requests for the use of funds held on their behalf and the preparation of Court Orders to give effect to judicial decisions in this regard.
* Investigating and assisting in the management of situations requiring crisis care and counselling and make recommendations regarding financial and policy implications where appropriate.
* Undertaking research into the level, provision and access of relevant services provided to clients and their families by government, non-government, private service providers and community services.
Identifying recent services available and their potential impact on the clients.
Assist clients in accessing these services where required.
About you
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly of the Supreme Court Act ****, Trustee Act ****, the Guardianship and Administration Act ****, the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act ****, of the Rules of Court,
as they impact upon the administration of funds in Court for persons under disability.
* Familiarity with the National Standards for Disability Services.
* Experience in the human services field, including the provision of services to meet the needs of clients with ABI, mental health issues, substance abuse issues and survivors of trauma, is highly desirable.
* Ability to have difficult conversations whilst being sensitive to client needs.
* Active listening skills and well-developed professional communication skills.
* Sound experience and advanced skills in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications.
