Job details About the Role We're looking for an experienced Skilled Labourer to join a large-scale manufacturing operation based in Welshpool.
Working as part of an established maintenance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a range of fixed plant and production equipment.
The role will involve a combination of preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, fault finding, mechanical fitting, component replacement and general workshop duties.
We're after a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with strong fixed plant or industrial maintenance experience, good mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.
Experience with pumps, air tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as basic welding and fabrication, will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant and production equipment Diagnose mechanical faults and identify practical repair solutions Complete mechanical repairs, component replacements and general maintenance Perform workshop-based bench work and mechanical fitting duties Repair and maintain air tools, pumps and associated equipment Work with basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems Complete basic fabrication and welding as required Inspect machinery and equipment to identify faults, wear and maintenance requirements Read and interpret equipment manuals,
technical information and relevant documentation Work independently and make practical decisions to minimise equipment downtime Assist with general workshop maintenance and production support Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements About You Mechanical Fitter trade qualification/certificate Australian trade qualification preferred Strong fixed plant or industrial maintenance experience Previous workshop-based maintenance experience Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience with mechanical repairs and component replacement Basic welding and fabrication experience Experience repairing and maintaining air tools and pumps Basic hydraulic and pneumatic experience Precast concrete experience is highly desirable Current Australian Driver's Licence White Card Ability to pass a PEM and DAS Comfortable working independently and with minimal supervision Reliable, physically capable and safety-focused Willing and available to work most Saturdays Successful candidate must be available to complete a medical on the same day as interview, if required Whats In It For You $***** per hour + penalties + super Monday to Friday, 5:00am 3:00pm Option to work an additional 2 hours overtime per day Saturday work available,
