R&D; Tax SpecialistAbout the Firm
n Our client is a highly regarded accounting and advisory firm with a strong and growing R&D; Tax practice in Brisbane.
n
Working with innovative and future focused businesses across a range of industries, the team helps clients access the R&D; Tax Incentive while providing commercially focused advice.
n
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced R&D; Tax professional at Manager, Senior Manager or Director level.
n
The Chance
n This is an opportunity to step into a senior position within an established R&D; Tax team, with an existing portfolio of clients to manage and develop.
n You will work closely with business owners, CFOs, technical leaders and senior stakeholders, providing high quality advice across the R&D; Tax Incentive.
n
At Manager level, the focus will be on managing client relationships, leading R&D; Tax engagements and supporting the development of the wider team.
n
At Senior Manager and Director level, there is greater scope to take ownership of client relationships, develop new opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
n Business development capability is preferred, but not essential.
n
The firm is open to professionals who are strong technically and client focused, with the opportunity to develop further into BD and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities
n

Manage an existing portfolio of R&D; Tax clients
n
Lead the end to end delivery of R&D; Tax Incentive claims
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, CFOs and technical stakeholders
n




Assess eligible R&D; activities and provide advice around eligibility and structuring
n
Review technical documentation and financial information
n
Manage and mentor junior members of the team
n
Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships
n
Support business development and growth of the R&D; Tax practice
n
Stay up to date with relevant legislation and ATO guidance What You Will Bring
n
Strong experience in R&D; Tax, ideally within an accounting or advisory firm
n
Strong understanding of the Australian R&D; Tax Incentive
n
Experience managing client relationships and an existing portfolio
n
Strong technical and commercial capability
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Leadership experience or the ambition to take on greater responsibility
n
BD experience or an established network is preferred, but not essential
n
