About the role As a Service Person Driver, you'll be a key part of the day-to-day running of the branch.
This is predominantly a branch-based, hands-on role, working with our hire equipment and machinery to make sure it is clean, safe, serviced and ready for our next customer.
Most of your time will be spent in the branch, yard, workshop and wash bay, carrying out Ready for Hire (RFH) servicing and maintenance, cleaning equipment, maintaining the yard and assisting customers face-to-face.
You'll also help customers with loading and unloading equipment and provide advice on the safe use of our equipment.
While driving is part of the role, deliveries and pickups are only required a few times each week as needed - this is not primarily a delivery driver position.




We'll provide you with the training and development you need to build your knowledge of our equipment and succeed in the role.
This role requires you to: Carry out Ready for Hire (RFH) servicing to ensure equipment is clean, safe and ready for our customers Perform basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs Clean equipment in the wash bay and maintain the workshop, yard and branch facilities Complete equipment check-in and check-out inspections Provide friendly, hands-on customer service face-to-face in the branch and yard Instruct and demonstrate to customers how to safely operate our equipment Assist customers with safely loading and unloading equipment Complete occasional customer deliveries and pickups when required, generally only a few times per week Work as part of the branch team to keep equipment, the yard and customer areas safe, organised and ready for business About you Our people come from all sorts of backgrounds, including customer service, building and construction, trades and maintenance, landscaping, retail, hospitality and driving.
You'll also have: A valid driver's licence An interest in machinery, tools and equipment - we'll provide the training you need A willingness to get hands-on with equipment servicing,



cleaning and general branch duties Strong customer service and communication skills A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills A positive attitude and team-first approach Availability to work weekends on a rotating roster The physical fitness to undertake a hands-on role that includes lifting, loading and unloading equipment, cleaning and being on your feet for extended periods The ability to successfully complete required pre-employment checks, including drug and alcohol testing Join our team You can always tell someone who works at Kennards Hire.
