We're looking for an experienced Site Recovery Engineer to play a key role in a major technology uplift across our critical infrastructure environment.
This contract will start ASAP and run until 1 March ****.
This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in resilience, disaster recovery, and operational readiness to ensure a new platform is brought into service with enterprise-grade recoverability, supportability, and reliability from day one.
What the role will involve: Working closely with infrastructure and operational teams, you will: Design and implement site recovery capabilities for this business-critical system.
Develop and enhance operational support processes, runbooks, and technical documentation.
Ensure the new infrastructure integrations meet established operational standards and recovery requirements.
Design, implement, and optimise backup, replication, and recovery solutions.
Lead recovery testing, validation, and failover exercises to prove recovery outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
Outcome: Reliable, resilient platforms with proven recovery capability, ensuring minimal disruption to critical services during incidents.
Key skills and experience: Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing site recovery, disaster recovery,



and business continuity solutions within complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networks, virtualisation, cloud platforms, and hybrid environments.
Proven capability to design, implement, and optimise backup, replication, and recovery solutions to meet defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
Experience developing operational procedures, technical documentation, support models, and recovery runbooks.
Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams.
