The company is going through a period of high growth due to some recent acquisitions and diversifying and increasing its product portfolio to a range of new market segments.
The role Reporting to the Credit Team Leader, this autonomous Credit Risk and Recovery Officer roles main focus is on creating new accounts in the system, vendor maintenance, and managing the more delinquent accounts up to legal status with account escalations.
It critically supports the Credit team leader and internal sales teams by implementing, and reviewing credit policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
Importantly, the role also assesses creditworthiness of recent and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, PPSR registration and renewals, setting credit limits and payment plans where appropriate.
The role also has offers some work from home flexibility – with a hybrid home + office (office 4 days per week, 1 day at home).




Duties Managing delinquent accounts Elevating delinquent accounts to third parties Ascertaining/assessing credit risk Managing Credit queries Assist in developing, implementing, reviewing credit policies/procedures to mitigate risk PPSR registration and renewal Implementation of payment plans Setting up credit limits Processing credit notes and other credit claims Processing rebates Debtors reporting Assisting other team members where possible Skills experience The successful candidate will obtain experience in a Credit Control/AR Officer, Credit Analyst or Collections Officer (min of 3-5 + years) ideally within the Wholesale, Manufacturing Retail or FMCG sectors with a large business.
Experience in developing and implementing credit policies and dealing with delinquent account up to legal stage will be critical in being successful in this role.
You will also have an ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload.
