The General Eatery And Supplies is a popular Sydney specialty café offering an all-day menu featuring creative breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes, seasonal specials, bold flavours and house-made offerings alongside premium coffee.
We are seeking 2 x qualified and experienced Cooks to be part of our kitchen team at Dulwich Hill NSW.
These full-time position carries a salary of $80,000 to $82,000 plus super.
You should ideally have a Certificate IV in Cookery or equivalent work experience.
You should at least 12 months of proven industry experience.
You should demonstrate sound culinary knowledge and skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
This role is open to Australian Citizen and Permanent Residents.

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of all-day breakfast, brunch, lunch and café-style dishes as per in-house recipes, presentation standards and service requirements.
• Prepare signature menu items, seasonal specials and house-made food products while maintaining consistency, quality and flavour standards.
• Execute food preparation, cooking and plating of à la carte orders efficiently.
• Accommodate customer dietary requirements,



allergies and special requests while ensuring food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and coordinate food prep activities for timely service and kitchen workflow.
• Maintain high standards of food handling, sanitation, workplace hygiene and food safety in compliance with NSW food safety regulations.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, ordering requirements and minimisation of food wastage.
• Receive, inspect and store food deliveries to ensure freshness, quality and compliance with storage requirements.
• Contribute to the development of seasonal menu items, market specials and creative café offerings aligned with designated food concept.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, workstations, food preparation areas and storage facilities.
• Support a collaborative kitchen environment and work closely with front-of-house staff to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food quality, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
