*This role attracts a fixed allowance that ensures a minimum salary equivalent to AHA2 (third increment) pro-rated, based on the Undertaking as within the Allied Health Professionals, Assistants and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement ****.
Full Time, Fixed term (temporary) contract up until 31 December ****.

About the role The Allied Health Assistant provides day-to-day support for inpatient and outpatient care, assisting Physiotherapists with patient interventions under direct or indirect supervision.
The Allied Health Assistant works with patients across neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic and obstetric/gynaecological services,



and undertakes routine hydrotherapy pool water quality and chemical testing.
Key duties of the role Deliver high quality patient care as directed by therapist.
Assist in individual or group therapy sessions.
Provide standby assistance in the hydrotherapy pool.
Prepare equipment and facilities for use.
Monitor, order, and supply equipment and consumable stock levels.
Skills and Experience Refer to the Allied Health Assistance Qualification Equivalency document for essential educational/vocational qualifications.
Experience in a patient care setting or in assisting a health care professional.
High levels of professionalism and effective communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of an Allied Health Skilled.
