Investment Officer
* Salary: $100,894 – $114,476 plus superannuation

The Role
As an Investment Officer, you will evaluate the viability of proposals, manage higher-risk portfolios and provide recommendations that influence how government funds are allocated.
You will provide technical advice to applicants and stakeholders, assess investment and grant proposals against strategic objectives and financial guidelines, undertake due diligence and identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
You will also contribute to investment program design and review and prepare high-quality Ministerial briefings, Cabinet reports and board papers regarding investment performance.
Main Accountabilities
* Provide technical advice to applicants and stakeholders on reporting and compliance obligations.
* Evaluate investment or grant proposals against strategic objectives and financial guidelines.
* Conduct due diligence on applicants, including reviewing business cases and basic financial statements.
* Identify project risks early and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
* Oversee the acquittal process for major projects, ensuring outcomes delivered align with the original investment logic.
