Data Reporting Consultant – Financial Crime Location: Sydney (hybrid, 3 day/week on-site) Contract: 12 months Day Rate: $**** (including super) A major Australian bank has an chance within its Financial Crime Detection Reporting function which will play a key part in how the bank monitors and reports on the health of its Financial Crime Control Framework.
The team gives Business Divisions and second-line Financial Crime stakeholders the insights they need on the bank's regulatory reporting.
This role sits at the centre of that, building the controls that catch incomplete, inaccurate or missing data before it becomes a regulatory problem.
This is a hands-on SAS and SQL role, not platform ownership, with genuine scope to build and improve the automated routines the team relies on.
About the Role Develop SAS scripts and automated routines to monitor completeness, accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reporting Extract, validate, transform and load data from multiple source systems Design and deliver automated reporting and metrics for stakeholders Support,



maintain and enhance existing systems and controls Engage with Business Divisions and the Financial Crime Transformation team to improve reporting performance About You Minimum 5 years' experience in a comparable analytics or reporting role Advanced SAS and SQL programming skills (must have both) Strong data manipulation skills across complex data and systems Ability to build automated reports and clear, concise stakeholder presentations Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Highly Regarded Database design and development experience Teradata and Oracle SQL experience BI tool experience (SAS BI, Tableau or similar) Why Apply High-visibility role within a major bank's Financial Crime function Direct impact on the integrity of regulatory reporting to AUSTRAC Work alongside experienced Financial Crime and Data teams Strong platform for building deep regulatory reporting expertise Candidates must be Sydney-based with full Australian working rights.
