Footscray Milking Station is seeking an experienced full-time Cook to join our team in Footscray, Victoria .
We are an established food and hospitality venue looking for an organised and reliable Cook with strong food preparation and kitchen skills who can assist with the day-to-day operation of our kitchen and consistently prepare high-quality meals in accordance with our menu and service standards.
What you will do: Prepare and cook a range of meals and dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu requirements.
Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, portioning and organising food prior to service.
Ensure meals are prepared and presented consistently and to the required quality standards.
Coordinate food preparation to ensure effective kitchen operations during service periods.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation before meals are served.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of food and kitchen supplies.
Assist with ordering ingredients and supplies and receiving and storing deliveries appropriately.




Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients and minimise food waste.
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and food preparation area.
Ensure food is stored, handled and prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
Work effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
Assist with training and providing guidance to junior kitchen staff where required.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and applicable food safety requirements.
We are looking for someone who is able to join us on a permanent and full-time basis .
This is not a trainee position, so please only apply if you have at least 1 year of full-time relevant experience as a Cook or in a closely related role.
We are offering a competitive salary of $79,423 - $85,000 per annum , plus superannuation.
