About the Role
n
Based in Lismore, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and commissioning security systems across a portfolio of customer sites. This is a hands‐on position that offers a mix of service, technical problem‐solving, customer engagement, and project delivery.
n
Working alongside experienced technicians and industry experts, you'll play a key role in ensuring customers' critical security systems remain reliable, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electronic security systems across customer sites.
n




Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled system inspections.
n
Deliver small to medium security system upgrades, modifications, and fit‐out projects.
n
Commission newly installed security systems and verify performance against design specifications.
n
Prepare quotations and recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and system improvements.
n
Provide expert technical advice and build strong relationships with customers.
n
Collaborate with subcontractors, project teams, and service colleagues to ensure successful project delivery.
n
Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
n
Contribute to a solid safety culture by identifying and addressing hazards and ensuring compliance with company safety standards.
n
Achieve and maintain full compliance with Johnson Controls' Safety, Health & Environment Management System (SHEMS).
n

About You
n
We're interested in hearing from security professionals, electricians, HVAC technicians, communications technicians, fire technicians, and other technically skilled tradespeople with experience in building technologies and critical infrastructure environments.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Security Technician or similar field service role.
n




Trade qualification in Security, Electrical, HVAC, Electronics, Communications, or a related discipline.
n
Current NSW Security Licence.
n
Strong experience in the maintenance, fault‐finding, repair, and commissioning of security systems.
n
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service documentation.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
Customer‐focused approach with excellent problem‐solving abilities.
n
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
n
Willingness to travel within the region as required.
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
Experience with Gallagher Security Management Systems.
n
Exposure to Building Management Systems (BMS) or integrated building technologies.
n
Experience working in healthcare, industrial, commercial, government, or critical infrastructure environments.
