About the role
As an Electrical Tradesperson, you'll provide day-to-day electrical services across Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, based at Wollongong Hospital.
Working as part of a trades team, you'll maintain, repair and support electrical plant, equipment and installations across hospitals and health facilities, responding to maintenance priorities while minimising interruptions to services.
Undertake routine and corrective maintenance across electrical plant and equipment.
Complete repairs, new electrical installations and alterations to existing installations.
Respond to emerging maintenance issues and help plan and prioritise works within required timeframes.
Coordinate with other staff, departments and contractors to minimise interruptions and support the smooth operation of services.
Ensure electrical work is completed in line with relevant policies, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and legislative requirements.
Assist with after-hours and emergency response and participate in the on-call roster as required.
While primarily based at Wollongong Hospital,



you may also undertake maintenance and repairs at other ISLHD facilities across the District.
