Our client is seeking a senior Workers Compensation Lawyer to join its NSW practice in a key leadership capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity for an accredited specialist to combine hands-on legal practice with team leadership, technical mentoring and operational oversight. More focus in results- less on billings

Your role

Supporting a North NSW-based team, you will play a critical role in maintaining technical excellence, managing workflow and ensuring continuity across a busy and successful workers compensation practice. You do not need to be based in North NSW.

This position will suit a senior practitioner who enjoys leading others while remaining actively involved in complex workers compensation matters.
The Role You will provide technical leadership and day-to-day support to a team of lawyers while maintaining your own practice across NSW workers compensation matters.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing a portfolio of workers compensation matters across the IRO and WID jurisdiction
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to junior lawyers
- Leading and developing a team of three to four legal professionals
- Overseeing workflow, quality assurance and practice performance
- Managing complex and escalated matters
- Supporting capability development across the broader workers compensation team




- Working closely with leadership to ensure client service and operational objectives are achieved

About You

- Accreditation as a Specialist in Personal Injury Law
- An unrestricted practising certificate
- A minimum of 10 years' relevant legal experience
- Current and substantial experience in NSW workers compensation law
- Strong technical expertise within the IRO and WID environment
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising and developing lawyers
