Are you a qualified Maintenance Fitter looking for a stable role with a well-established manufacturing business?

Our client is a major Australian forestry and timber products manufacturer with a large-scale operation in Oberon. They are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their maintenance team and play a key role in keeping the plant running safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys fault finding, breakdown maintenance and keeping production moving.

What you'll be doing:

- Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance across manufacturing equipment
- Respond to breakdowns and diagnose mechanical faults quickly and effectively
- Repair and maintain machinery to minimise production downtime
- Complete mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to keep equipment operating reliably
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with relevant standards
- Assist with planned shutdowns and maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records using digital maintenance systems

What we're looking for:

- Mechanical Trade Certificate – Cert III in Engineering / Mechanical Trade
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial, timber or similar environment
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team
- Good communication and a practical, hands-on approach




- Basic computer skills and confidence using maintenance systems
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

The Electrical role will involve:

- Electrical maintenance across a large-scale manufacturing facility
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Fault finding and repairs on industrial electrical equipment
- Working with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime
- Supporting planned maintenance and shutdown activities
- Maintaining equipment in a safe, reliable and compliant condition
- Identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability and performance

To be considered, you'll need:

- Electrical Trade Qualification
- Current NSW Electrical Licence
- Industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience highly regarded
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely in a production environment
- Willingness to work shifts as required
