We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse | Nurse Grade 6 with strong rural and remote nursing experience for a short-term prospect in Tambo, Central West Queensland.

This is an opportunity to support a rural community health service in a remote setting and would suit a nurse who is confident working autonomously and has previous Queensland Health and rural/remote experience.

Contract Details

- Location: Tambo, Central West QLD
- Role: Clinical Nurse / NG6
- Dates: 26-31 October 2026
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
- On-call/recall requirements after hours and weekends
- Base rate: $91.00-$115.52 per hour
- Travel and accommodation assistance/contribution available, subject to applicable arrangements

About the Role

The Primary Health Clinic provides healthcare services to the local community and surrounding rural properties.

The service operates with a small team and the Clinical Nurse will need to be comfortable working independently in a rural environment, supported by Queensland Health and local operational resources.

The role involves:

- Providing high-quality clinical care to the local community
- Working autonomously within a rural primary health setting
- Responding appropriately to clinical presentations and emergencies




- Supporting local community health needs
- Participating in on-call/recall arrangements

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated rural and remote nursing experience
- Clinical Nurse / NG6-level experience
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
- Confirmed availability for the full contract period
- Current mandatory compliance documentation suitable for Queensland Health clearance
