The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to lead business analysis activities for complex technology initiatives across Corporate Digital Services.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping digital and technology solutions that support critical corporate functions across the department. You will work at the intersection of business and technology, helping define business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and support the design and delivery of effective, fit-for-purpose solutions.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, delivery teams and vendors to provide high-quality analysis and advice that supports decision-making, delivery planning and solution outcomes. You will also help create shared understanding across stakeholders, manage ambiguity and dependencies, and ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritised and delivered effectively.

What you'll do

- Lead business analysis for complex initiatives - analyse business processes, systems, data and technology to identify needs, issues and opportunities.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements - develop functional and technical requirements, user stories, process models and acceptance criteria.




- Support solution design and delivery - work with architects and delivery teams to assess options, identify impacts and dependencies, and support design, testing, implementation and transition to business-as-usual.
- Provide analysis, insight and coordination - facilitate workshops, build shared understanding across stakeholders, and produce high-quality documentation and recommendations to support business and technology decisions.

- Stakeholder engagement - you build effective relationships across business and technical teams, facilitate shared understanding, and align requirements and priorities.
- Technical understanding - you bring sound knowledge of technology delivery, systems, data and integration concepts, and can translate between business needs and technical solutions.

This is more than a business analysis role. You will help shape the digital services that support one of Victoria's largest and most significant organisations, contributing to better technology solutions and better experiences for the people who support Victorian students and schools.
