About Us

Working within the team, the Employability Coordinator plays a key role in designing and delivering inclusive, student-centred employability initiatives that support diverse cohorts across UTS.

Working within one or across multiple focus areas such as targeted student groups, digital resources, or internship experience, the role contributes to the development of tailored career development initiatives, resources, and experiences that enhance student employability outcomes.

Detailed Description

As the Employability Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

- Mapping existing initiatives, resources, and support available within the focus area to identify gaps and opportunities

- Coordinating and delivering tailored employability initiatives that support career development in specific focus area (e.g. targeted cohorts, digital resources, or internship experience)

- Facilitating workshops, panel events, and other career development initiatives that are inclusive, engaging, and aligned with student needs

- Supporting the delivery of key events and campaigns in collaboration with the broader UTS Careers team

- Developing, reviewing, and updating career development resources to ensure they are inclusive, accessible,



and aligned with the needs of the focus area

- Curating digital content and learning journeys that guide students through key career development topics

- Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure content is relevant, engaging, and up to date

With examples, please outline how you meet the below five (5) selection criteria within your cover letter:

1. Experience developing and facilitating workshops or interactive events.

2. Solid written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop, review or update career development resources.

3. Experience providing support to students or a similar demographic through consultations, focus groups or one-to-one conversations.

4. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload.

5. Well-developed relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the university.

Remuneration/Salary

Base Salary Range: $ 101,262 - $ 109,641 pa (HEW 6)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of include flexible work practices, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This position is full-time and the appointment will be made on a fixed term basis until July 2028, covering an internal staff secondment.

The team work on a hybrid working arrangement, comprising of 3 days on campus and 2 days working from home.
