About the Role

As a member of the Queensland Environment Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients by supporting, delivering and coordinating comprehensive environmental impact assessments, environmental planning advice, approvals processes and environmental management projects across various sectors. You will play a key role in project teams to support documentation/reporting preparation and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing and conducting environmental impact assessments, approval strategies, environmental management and compliance documents, and approval documentation
- Gather, analyse and interpret environmental data from various sources (e.g field studies, surveys, GIS data)
- Ensure that projects comply with local, state and federal environmental regulations, standards and assessment benchmarks




- Assist in planning and coordinating environmental and approval projects, including timelines, meetings, budgets and resourcing
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders (e.g clients, communities, governmental agencies) to gather input, address concerns and deliver practical solutions
- Prepare detailed reports, including findings, recommendations and mitigation strategies, for clients and regulatory bodies

About You:

- Degree qualification in environmental science, planning, or related discipline
- A proactive and solutions focused mindset
- Strong technical aptitude and project management skills
- Adaptability to interpret or undertake a range of technical work based on project requirements
- Interest and aptitude in working across and coordinating multiple disciplines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive team and client relationships
- Interest is working across a variety of sectors and clients
- Experience in an Environmental Scientist or Environmental Planner role in a consulting environment is desirable
- Understanding of and demonstrated experience in approvals and environmental assessments under QLD legislation preferable
