Shortfuze Electrical is an Adelaide-based electrical business specialising in residential electrical work, including custom and architectural homes, renovations and general domestic work.

We're a small, growing team that takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail and doing things properly. We're looking for someone who wants to become a skilled electrician and be part of a team where they can learn, take pride in their work and develop their career.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice, or an Adult 1st Year Apprentice, to join our team on a full-time basis.

You'll work alongside experienced electricians across a variety of residential projects, gaining practical experience while continuing your formal apprenticeship training.

This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in what they do and is keen to learn. You'll be given the opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of electrical work while working under the guidance and supervision of qualified electricians.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting qualified electricians with residential electrical installations and maintenance

- Liaising with builders, supervisors and clients on site

- Learning to work safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and standards

- Assisting with cable runs, lighting, switchboards, fit-offs and other electrical installations

- Helping prepare and maintain clean, organised work sites

- Handling tools, materials and equipment responsibly

- Assisting with fault finding and problem solving under supervision

- Learning to read plans and follow electrical drawings and instructions

- Developing your practical electrical skills and knowledge

- Attending TAFE and completing all required apprenticeship training





- Working as part of a team to deliver quality work for our customers

You will be someone who:

- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in turning up ready to work

- Has a genuine interest in becoming a qualified electrician

- Is willing to learn and take direction

- Takes pride in quality workmanship

- Has a strong focus on safety

- Has good communication skills and works well with others

- Can maintain a clean and organised work environment

- Is comfortable working in different environments, including heights and confined spaces

- Is physically capable of the requirements of the role

- Holds a current driver's licence

- Is committed to completing their apprenticeship and continuing to develop their skills

Previous electrical experience is valued, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as key.
